Haiti Rainy Season Started!

Our Mission

The mission of Tents 2 Haiti is large, simple and fast--to get 200,000 family tents and as many larger church tents to Haiti before the heavy downpours of the rainy season kick in full force.

When it comes to our faith we believe in One Path, Jesus Christ, "the way, the truth and the life." But when it comes to disaster relief and rebuilding we adopt the many paths approach. The more paths there are to get supplies delivered, people fed, families sheltered and orphans adopted, the better! We, the church, do not need to wait to see what others may do. Instead, we must take bold and prayerful action and do what needs to be done

We know it is not all up to us to fulfill the request of the president of Haiti to help provide shelter for over 800,000 displaced and homeless Haitians, but we want to work as if it were. We want to give these tents in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to those in need regardless of race, creed, gender, religion or social status. We will also address the physical aspect of the spiritual needs of our Haitian brothers and sisters in Christ who are "churchless," yet need to worship together without direct exposure to harsh elements of nature. this will be accomplished by obtaining by donation or purchase, dozens of larger tents that can accomodate hundreds of worshippers. Haitians need to worship--they have precious little else.

We will:
1) ESTABLISH stablish as many registered Tents 2 Haiti COLLECTION SITES in as many communities as possible in the short amount of time we have to work.
2) Then we will TRANSPORT these tents to the US Eastern Seaboard ports.
3) We will SHIP the tents to the ports in Haiti.
4) We will WAREHOUSE the shelters temporarily until they can be utilized.
5) Finally, we will DISTRIBUTE them using a network of dozens of ministers and churches that various ministries in the United States have worked with over the last several decades.

The mission of TENTS 2 HAITI is only one small, yet vital step in the rebuilding of Haiti. It is an opportunity for the body of Christ to shine his light for all te world to see. We need you. Are you in?
